Blog Love!

A big thank you to my friend MaryMarsh http://marymarsh.blogspot.com/! She gave my blog a blog love award :-) Beyond uber cool!! I will in turn mark 5 favorite blogs too and post it here in the next day or two.
I wanted to show you the new things I was working on. My studio work table is full of projects lined up to start. And there is a list 3 pages long in my sketchbook too. It is so nice that we have daylight here early and into the mid evening. I do love that!
Oh and the black margarita glass maybe published in Somerset Life magazine in 2009. If so I will be sure to post it here. They send you the magazine as a thank you for submitting and being published.
Merry Christmas to you! I am sending you thoughts for Happy Holiday memories this year and a fantastic time with family and friends!

Let's Talk!

It has been on the warmer side here in Charleston. The weather seems to flitter from freezing one week to hot and humid the next and it December! This picture was taken this afternoon in the backyard. I have to say that I am so loving the nice weather and feel for my family right now as it is snowing outside and they are bundled up enjoying toasty fires and good coffee!
Above are some new things that I have been working on. I will admit that I went shopping at my own store to get some last minute Christmas presents out this week!

Christmas Express

Hi!
It seems like Christmas came around the corner at lighting speed this year. It is in the 70's here and feels more like Spring than December! The shop has been busy and the Christmas cards are almost finished.

Tonight will be addressing cards and putting airmail postage on those going to Germany and Switzerland. I will finish the last wrapping and packing for the custom orders and pop them into the mail in the morning.

I have loved all the support from my friends, family and new Etsyians and have to say it has been a stellar year. Thank you all so much! All the best to you this week and keep in touch!

Blog Feature

Hi!
Just wanted to show you another place to find some wonderful hand made Southern gifts: http://seusteamshops.blogspot.com/ Beach Cottage Studio is featured with a spot highlighting the red crown tags! Too cool :-) Below is the feature. Lovely!

Wednesday, December 10, 2008

"I am a complete paper junkie! I collect all sorts of cards, tags, writing instruments, stamps, inks, waxes, and hand bound journals. I simply cannot get enough of anything to do with paper, so I wanted to pass along a few of my picks for beautiful, handcrafted paper products from members of our Southeastern Etsy team. Each of these items would make a great stocking stuffer for the paper junkie in your life!red crown tagsby beachcottagestudio Living in New Orleans, these crowns make me think of Carnival - my favorite time of year. But, seeing as it is not Carnival - yet - try hanging one of these lovelies on a gift bag or box! Beautiful!"

I need to restock the shop pronto!! My comfort zone for items is "51 ish" and at the moment it is at 11. Craziness! Take care and keep me posted on what you are up to! I love to get your comments.
~Kristine
PS - I maybe featured in Somerset Life magazine but I am not sure at the moment. They sent me a "good news" letter but the embellished stemware in the box belong to someone else. So your guess is as good as mine! My glass will be returned this week so I will let you know. I am crossing my fingers because I have had it as a goal for the last 9 years to get published in one of their magazines!

500 Hearts!!

Well it is a huge day for me to have reached 500 hearts at Etsy.com!!! I am amazed and feel like I am on cloud nine! :-) Nova Scotia Beach Glass Jewelry was the lucky winner! Here is the shop: http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5739937

This is so cool because heart 400 was in Moncks Corner SC not but 15 minutes away. Heart 300 was in England. Heart 200 was in the heartland of America and I still have to figure out number 100. I'll keep you posted!

It goes without saying that I am LOVING all the custom orders right now and I am up to my elbows in ribbon and paper! You know it's a good creative day when you give someone a hug and they have glitter on them too! There are so many good things to post that I can't wait to get back to the studio.
All the best to you!
