Just found out that Charleston is rated the #2 top American destination to visit by Conte Nast Traveler. Well then!
Here in Charleston we have a "Be A Tourist In Your Own Town" pass. It is good for the month of January and is really a blast. There are 4 other cities that do this too. Worth a Google search! ~Kristine

that pass is a great idea, thanks! never been to Charleston but have always wanted to. wonder if they have a pass for Boston.
